Is the cost of car insurance coming down??

I had a look on money supermarket website the other day at a couple of insurance quotes i got a month or so ago for a couple of potential cars i am thinking of in the near future.The quotes had expired so i refreshed them and both came back a good £200 cheaper than before.This is despite getting an email from go-compare saying car insurance is going up across the board another 12%!!

Has anyone else noticed this? I am getting the impression that quotes from the compare sites tend to be high or low depending on what mood they are in as this is not the first time i have seen differences,higher and lower in the quotes they return.

Insurance prices can change on a daily basis from what I've heard. I'm sure ZOLLAR or one of the other insurance bods can confirm or correct that though.

It fluctuates a lot, my final internet quotes ended up being 200 quid cheaper than the first ones I had got around a month before also, this was ~3-4 months ago.
