Bonnet heat shield replacement?

The Heat shield on my bonnet have got loose.
Any tip on how fasten it again and maybe what to replace it with?

Myself, Norman and another chap who's name escapes me went "thirds" on a sheet of some smart looking, clever dicky sound proofing stuff (www.noisekiller.co.uk). Whatever we tried it would not stay stuck.

I gave up and junked it before it fell off completely and chewed up around the fan belt or jammed the throttle, think Norman did likewise, never heard from our third conspirator.

Dumpted it, it was good to look at but just wouldnt stick to the inside of the bonnet - however it did keep the engine warmwhen it all fell off onto the engine!!!

I glued heatshield (approx. 100x50 cm) to the bonnet with heatresistant (up to 100 degree Celsius) 2-component glue several years ago. It's still there.

Hi my bonnet heat shield fell down about 2 years ago, I stuck it back, it fell down again this time against accelerator spring, full revs, that was it, I ask forum for advice.

It was to take it off, Two years later, I do not miss it and I don't think it makes any difference.

Heatshield sheets are for sale on ebay, just type in on search and there is a supplier who does all different sizes. i have just bought a 1000mm x 1000mm for £28. Plus do the same for the high temp spray. I bought 2 tins when i replaced my Griff 500 heat shield brilliant stuff. (sorry about the griff guys i am in the process of restoring a V8S now).
