I've had an idea!

Whilst sat in traffic tonight I had an idea.

The Audi in front of me was burning my retinas out with his LED brake lights, and although I am normally a hater of all bongs and beeps in a car I wondered about a beep that started if you sat stationary in your car with the foot on the brakes for more than say 10 seconds? Then after say 12 seconds if you haven't already put the handbrake on a massive spike shoots out of the steering wheel and impales the tt on the seat.

Anybody with me?

Had them from an E Class in front of me the other morning, this nobsocket braked at anything coming the other way as well

Brake lights don't bother me but I remember a question about it being in my theory test all those years ago so out of courtesy if ever i'm stopped at a set of lights I always apply the hand brake. But the days of the courteous driver seems to be over and there's no point in crying about it

No, me neither.

Once I have filtered to the front of all the traffic on my motorbike, I can then sit quite comfortably with my foot on the brake while I wait for the lights to change.

Other peoples brake lights only bother me for a moment as I approach them and, to be honest, I would rather see them as it means they are not about to move into my path and slow me down...

This is becoming increasingly more popular, it is so fking annoying! As soon as I catch onto someone doing this, in the true style of PH, a lower set of cogs are engaged and away I go. I always wonder if the brake-a-holic brakes, as I overtake.

Most autoboxes is meant to be stopped with foot on the brake. Not moved to Neutral for a 10s stop.

It takes about a quarter of a second longer for non-LED brake lights to come on. That's over 7 meters of distance at 70 mph, and in a line of fast-moving cars where the first one brakes hard, LED brake lights could make a significant difference to the outcome.
