A work with disabled people and one of them is heavily reliant on 2 sticks to walk anywhere. His legs are 'pretty ronnied' (his words, not mine!) and almost his entire weight is constantly on the handles of the sticks, which leaves him with swollen, sore a calloused hands. He's got carpet and cheap foam on them at the moment which does help a little, but I'm trying to find him an alternative.

Is there such a thing as really hard-wearing, thick yet soft foam that we could put on it for him? Anything that doesn't need replacing every week or so really!

Good idea, but he needs something that is always on the sticks as he sits at a desk most of the time and just needs to grab his sticks when he's going to the printer or something during the day. They'd be great for when he's coming in/going home, but not ideal for suring the day.

Does he use 'palm-grips' style handles or the usual standard type? palm grips spread the load over a bigger area than the standard round style ones. HTH
