Since its November 11, I thought I would repost this. 12 years ago today I did it. Scary how primitive they were. Very brave young men,

Jealousy perfectly acceptable here. Would love to have a flight in either of those. I guess at least the Collings Foundation keep the Yank part of the dream possible.

Anyone know if and when taxiable Lanc "Just Jane" (East Kirkby, Lincs) might be made airworthy again? Or is that just a pipe dream?

I believe 2012 is near fully booked for the taxy rides in "Just Jane", so don't see how they can do anything until they end in Sep 2012.
Was told when I was there that will mean the end for taxy rides too if she becomes airworthy and won't be able to offer paid flights either.

Just Jane would require the main spar to be removed and inspected before flight, which would obviously be hugely costly and time consuming. They haven't ruled it out but the funds and will just aren't there at the moment
