So the new Olympic stadium now has another use for a couple of weeks in 2017 when it will host the World Athletic Championships.

Given Doha were effectively bribing the decision comittee by saying they'd cover all prize money.

I suspect it'll also be used for the Diamond League athletics every year (both UK events sold out this year), and the English and maybe British championships although Alexandra Stadium in Birmingham has had some investment too and is more central. Then there's still a deal to be done on the use of the stadium on a more regular basis for non-athletics sport(s) too (rugby? football?).

I'd imagine they'll follow Wembly and the 02 and try and get some live events in there too.
