Hi. I have recently bought a 55 plate megane 225.
The blowers will only work on setting 4. I have gambled on the fact it is the resistor that's broke and have got a new one from Renault. They want 170 quid to supply and fit.
Has anyone changed one of these themselves so could possibly talk me through the process? Is it something that can be done without specialist tools or knowledge?
Thanks, Dave.

Does sound like a resistor pack.

I had an Astra that had the same fault, I got the resistor pack swapped out, it worked for a day and then the fan went - I later found out theres a known water issue which corrodes the fan and makes it work harder, thus burning out the resistor.

Anyway, I did the fan/resistor swap myself - dead easy on the Astra. Take out the glove box liner and it all sits behind, just swap out and refit, took me about 25 minutes.

£170 sounds a lot of money just for that ?

I had the same problem with my 182 - there's a chap on ebay who refurbs the resistor packs for about £40 - might be worth a try?

Thanks but already been ripped off by Renault for the part.
Just need advice on fitting?
