My own car history
Discussion
My brief car history, as you will see im a bit of petrol head. My first ever car was a Honda S2000, loved it to bits. Didn't keep it long ( maybe a year ) as I was wanting a MK2 Elise. Unfortunately I found out what Cat D means and never managed to sell the car. I had to px.

It was a TSport, around 190bhp, lovely motor, very roomy, the doors are massive, not exaggerating. Kept it for 4-5 months and went for another px, I was still wanting an Elise but couldn't find one, so had to settle on a 3.0l Z4.

Wow, the quality interior and the sound of the engine with the roof down, it was the straight 6 engine. Unfortunately, had 2 accidents with it, nothing major - nobody was hurt, first i stopped in the back of a RR Sport, i blame the snow. Second, just after i had it fixed, female drive reverses into me in Tesco's car park, proper gutted. All this in the space of 6 month. Decided to sell to finance my mortgage. The obvious choice was a 1998 Mini Cooper Sport.

A bit of a change from the heated seats and TV screen of the Z4, I'll give you that. Still, a brilliant little car, had so much fun driving this wee beasty, you wont believe. Remember taking it from Aberdeen to Aviemore in the snow, overnight it snowed so much that i had snow at my windows side. We had to drive all the way back to Dundee/Perth to get back to Aberdeen, cracking car really and very good in the snow. Kept the Mini for a year or so again and sold it to buy a Panda 100HP, no pic of the Panda atm, it was black, 56 plate, nice car.

Well, had the Panda for less than a year and here we are now. An X reg automatic MK4 Astra for day to day driving and my p&j, a 1998 Crossflow Westfield.

Since this picture, the Westy suffered quite a lot of changes and I shall try and post some more up to date pictures.
Looking back I think I've made some strange choices, but enjoyed every car that I had! No idea what I'm gonna get next...

If I remember he didn't get an Elise! The S2000 sounded insane, and the Z4 was lovely. Have a few pictures somewhere probably from the highland hoon days! Haven't seen the westy yet but believe my brother has (ian974)
Will need to see it at some point! (have met a couple times, I'm the hairy gig that's usually with Ian, though driving myself now!)

yup, i never got the Elise, had to px the Honda for the Celica and than i got the z4. I'm still dreaming of one..maybe I'll get an Exige instead, hheh.
The automatic Astra drives ok, had some propblems with the front calipers, both had to be replaced but not surprising for a 10 years old car. MrsChippo is also learning to drive on it, but so far so good. A bit of a fuel guzzler tho, rarely going over 30mpg.
hi Iain's brother, yup, you've seen me and my cars on the Hoons, sadly I missed this year's one due to rain.
Another piccie of the Westy, here with it's hood down. Changed out a few bits on it, now it has a RAC Roll Bar with 3rd brake light, the spare wheel on the back is gone and I had the back resprayed, new LED ligths on the back, have added black windscreen supports with side mirrors and even doors. Well chuffed with the doors, they make such a big difference at speed.

And a photo of the 'mighty' Panda...

Thanks for that. With the famous Aberdonian weather and not being garaged, unfortunately it started rusting by the time i sold it. I've seen it recently in Aberdeen but it's been pimped, loads of stickers, white alloys, a strange radio aerial just underneath the left front inidicator, etc. Shame.
