How fit would you have to be to drive a F1 car?
Discussion
http://www.circuitpaulricard.com/f1-experiences-c-... Remember the Hampster made a hash of trying to drive the Renault F1 once. So was wondering how the average PH'er would fair in a F1 car?
How many laps? How hard are you pushing? Under race conditions?
Lots of variables really. To race in a real deal f1 race takes marathon levels of fitness and good mental strength.
To race an f1 car at an amateur level in a 10 lapper or something would not require such high levels of fitness but you would certainly need to be fit enough that your heart is not at 180BPM at the first turn and you are a sweaty mess by turn 3.
For a 'driving experience' like in the link again it would depend on how many laps and how hard you are pushing but for anyone that has never raced or driven a car on slicks you would be hitting your own comfort levels before hitting the cars limits so you would not need to be fit.

It's entirely up to how hard you push. As a novice driver, you're not really going to be pushing it hard enough in the corners to really do yourself in. You'll probably have a sore neck after a few laps and that's it.
I have known about that experience for years...I will do it some time
