Keyless Go - persistent "check batteries" message

Hello all,

Got an issue with the Keyless Go - I had the "check card batteries" message on the dash, changed the batteries yet still getting the message.

Have tried just holding the card away from anything (ie not in my wallet) leaving my phone inside in case of interference but no joy. Have also cleaned contacts within the card, made no difference.

Any suggestions?

Where are the batteries from?

I used some horrid cheap things and they lasted about a month before the message was back.

Duracell jobs, brand new, I tried it straight after changing them but still the same
