Cars that always take you by suprise

What I am getting at here is those cars that, when you see them, always leave you a little dumbstruck even though you've seen them before (but perhaps not in real life).

We've all seen cars in tv shows, magazines and websites. We can all form an idea about the size, proportions and the performance.

Some cars, the Audi R8 say, appear in real life just as you imagined when you saw it on TG the other week.

Others do not. For me the car that always makes me think "Jesus!" is the Nissan GTR. I dont think, from looking at pictures and videos that you can form a good idea about the cars proportions or its performance.

Every time I see one I am always saying to my self "fk me, is it really that big? It looks like the Hulk on wheels". Its got a massive back end and comdey size exhausts. Seen a few on the roads now and never cease to be amazed at the overall size of the car.

Then there is the performance which even puts a stabbed rat to shame, the speed of it belies its apparently heft! Its a gobsmacking car.

One that always gets me is the E60 M5. In pictures and video it just looks like any other 5 series but when I see one for real they stick out a mile. All those subtle differences like the flared arches, e big wheels, the similar but different bumpers, the aero mirrors etc add up.

For me, I'm guessing a Pagani, Koenigsegg or Bugatti. I say 'guessing' because I've never seen them outside of motor shows, which makes them the true inheritors of the pre-Murcielago/Gallardo Lamborghini mantle. Lamborghinis are still gobsmacking to look at and listen to, but you don't excitedly tell your mates when you see one any more.
