Just a word of caution....
Be careful when tightening the aerial as they usually have a rounded serated collar that fits inside the wing to earth the aerial. Completely useless on a TVR of course as it's GRP but that's where there's also a danger.
If you fit this serated collar to the inside of the wing it is likely to cause damage over time as the aerial has a certain amount of movement when the car is moving and this will eventually lead to the serated ege of the collar chewing up the fibreglass.
You can't usually leave this off as the aerial relies on it to fit properly but you could make a plate up to fit flat inside the wing to protect the GRP.

Does anyone have any experience of taking these electic (upy downy) fella's out of the S ? Mine has stopped doing the upy downy thing, it's a mechanical problem rather than an electrical one, so I thought I'd take it out to service it. It's attached to the body of the car by a big metal earthing strap at the bottom - with what I suspect is a self tapping bolt through it into the wheel arch. Tried undoing this, but it's a right royal b
tard. It turns (just) - but get's no looser. I think mine is the original (based on the amount of rust on the bottom attachment). Kind of know this is a hopeless question but ... any thoughts ?
Thanks Chaps,
