New Years Day orchestra - Austrian... Tickets ?
Discussion
In simple terms... Not a chance in hell.
The Vienna Philharmonic New Year concert is probably the most popular orchestral concert in the world being broadcast to over 70 million people around the world, and the large hall at the Musikverein only holds about 2000 people. Due to the huge level of over-subscribtion tickets are by lottery which you must apply for before Jan 23rd each year for the following new year. There are actually three concerts a preview on the 30th Dec, a New Years Eve concert and the New Years Day concert. If you enter the lottery you could get tickets to any one of the 3 concerts or more likely no tickets at all.
