Just bought a 1987 ford escort rs turbo. When i have looked under the engine the breather top pipe has been blocked and another pipe at the bottom blocked off. Anyone know why this could be?

Thanks

Sorry don't know but any chance of a few pics of your new RS? Had one a few years back and have a big soft spot for them! CheeRS.

No its standard i believe. The car runs great with no problems.

I remember the breather pipes used to get full of clag and then become blocked, dont remember pluging them though- also rememebr that excessive blow by used to pop the filler cap off the engine!

personally I'd re-instate the pipes and see what happens- whatever goes on a cvh ford engine isnt difficult or expensive to work on so dont worry too much and accept that this is an old high performance ford which may need some attention.
