Evening all,
Mrs Charmless and I are off to see a show at the Domnion and were hoping to grab some good Sushi beforehand. Please excuse the plebby request but any advice would be gratefully received as the PH massive have been very helpful in the past.

Ideally somewhere within walking distance of the theatre, (not neceseraly Soho but that rhymed). We'll need to eat quite early at around 5ish, price, well I'm not quite a company director but don't mind splashing out a bit. Any help would be great. Thanks.

I'll look it up, thanks. Any redeeming features or is it just good?

Do they do the Teppanyaki style stuff there as well? I realse that could sound like a daft question but I guess some sushi dishes have cooked bits in!.?

Ten Ten Tei - Been going here for the past 15 or so years - Brewer street (maybe more of a short cab ride to the Dominion if the dorris is wearing heels). Shabby, yes. Looks naff from the outside, yes. Very authentic, fresh, well prepared tasty food, certainly. Don't go if you're after posh, but authentic, definitely.

This, in my view, was the best in London about 5 years ago but I haven't been there since for various reasons. Brewer St.

It has closed down. And thank god, this was the worst restaurant in England.

I like Ten Ten Tei too (biggrin). The manager told me just today that Kulu Kulu Sushi is owned by the same people as TTT. I haven't been there myself but it should at least be as good quality as TTT.

Melman, wash your mouth out.

Thank you all for your posts, we went with the masses and ate at Ten Ten Tei. We really enjoyed it, as described above basic, dare I say a bit tired inside, but friendly and warm at the same time.

Amongst the usual nibbles we had both a Sushi and a Tempura platter. Both were great but the Prawn tempura was excellent, light and crispy perfection!

A great meal at a great price. I will definitely go again when in the area.
