Are there many instances of the rear clips coming up on these cars?. How reliable is the standard arrangement. I have noticed some alternative methods of fixing down do many people use them?.
I ask because I'm dealing with just such an instance at the moment and I don't want to have to do it again.

Thanks

Steve

The rear clips as they are work fine....as long as you remember to latch them.
All too often people will want to see the engine and have a chat about it. If you are at a meet, track day or show this can happen many times and it is then all to easy to forget to latch them before you drive off.
Fit the Factory option microswitches (or your own version) which will warn you as soon as you turn on the ignition.
You will also notice that even in the company of other Ultima owners they will not latch your rear clip for you as they know you will want to do it, and check it, yourself.

The front clip is not a problem and goes nowhere even if completely unlatched.

Unlike the bonnet/hood of a Cerbera which lifts a foot at about 80. Scared the cr*p out of me the first time it happened.
