I liked the last paragraph most of all biggrin

For those of you who can't get on ebay-

Up for sale – Our lovely family car. Mrs ZT-T – well it’s very much my husband’s third child.

12 Months MOT and 6 months tax – ready to drive away. Buy it now or open to offers.

This car is registered PRE the heavy car tax rules therefore 12 months tax is only £260 as opposed to £450 Mrs ZT-T – now that is one of the only times that age is seemingly a bonus (bus pass excluded)

MG ZT-T Estate - 4.6 Ltr V8, 385BHP, Supercharged Mustang powered, custom built, stage three signature engine – rare isn’t the word. Mrs ZT-T – the word is ‘sale’, preceding the ‘up for’ at the beginning of the listing Hun.

This item is available for sale elsewhere so could be removed as soon as an offer which doesn't include children, body parts or anything else you strange ebayers have offered me thus far...

For the benefit of the readers of this listing my wife and I decided to do this listing together to sell our family car. Mrs ZT-T – We felt it fair that we give a ‘true family’ perspective of our car and it really does assist in making my husband believe that this sale is also his decision… you know what I mean girls…

The idea is I write what I think about the car then my wife adds her input after I have finished – giving a balanced view, I have taken the liberty of editing a lot of what she put originally. – Nonetheless I do feel I have had an education, which I felt was important to share with you all.. Then we listed the car. Mrs ZT-T – My husband is a ‘car nut’ plain and simple, when it comes to cars he has an unholy obsession with anything V8 (yes I know what a V8 is) – to him it’s a great sound to me and our neighbours it’s just noise.

There is a back story to my supercharged beast – my wife wanted an ‘estate car’ I thought ‘why not’ - I part-exed my TF LE500 in 2009 and brought this home and she adored the colour, when I started it up for her she called me a name beginning with ‘T’ and ending in… Well I can’t wholeheartedly remember but ‘twas rude nonetheless. Mrs ZT-T – You damned well do remember WAT I said!!

She still loves me and this has been a very enjoyable family car for quite some time but we now need to have a change – I am confident this is a mutual decision, I am pretty sure that’s the deal… I need to think about that now?? Mrs ZT-T – Yes it has been a very family car and we need to change. This was all your idea to sell, I support you 100% in your decision babe, don’t let anyone put you off. I have always respected the way you ‘stick to your guns’ when you make a decision I agree with.

This is NOT a car for the faint hearted; it is an absolute animal and will easily annihilate the majority of cars on the road today. Mrs ZT-T – Not when me and the kids are in it you don’t, I can’t understand why we can’t have the radio or a CD on – you like the whistling noise and the exhaust; I would like to sometimes have a conversation or listen to a song. Have we ever even used the telly??

It’s fully loaded with every toy as standard (spec listed below) it is in flip paint and goes from Purple to Green with Yellow, Gold, Pink and Silver for good measure. The pictures really don’t do it justice although I waited for a sunny day to try and capture the effect. When you walk around the car it really does change colour as you go. Mrs ZT-T – Yeah it’s nice, I have always liked the colour, which might sound girly (and I’m not normally a girly girl) but it’s true.

She is a fully speced up, V8, Stage 3 hand built, custom Roush, supercharged sexy kitten. Mrs ZT-T – You’re not Jeremy Clarkson Hun, that is not a way to describe the car, it’s creepy, weird and makes you sound a bit tapped.

It’s not a Mustang with a ‘bolt on & go supercharger’ which you tend to see every now and again, it’s a fully fitted BRAND NEW Stage 3 custom built Supercharged 4.6 V8, it’s running 385BHP + Supercharger, and if you want to spend some more time on it you could get a lot more out of her. This is the engine everyone thought ‘should’ have been fitted to this car, when you drive her it’s easy to understand why. Mrs ZT-T – This will be the only thing you will be driving for a while if we can’t get a SENSIBLE family car for once. I don’t drive her I have never driven her (or any her for that matter) despite my husband’s requests to drive her – the car obviously.

A standard V8 260SE will do 0-60 in 6.3 seconds; get her supercharger wound up, switch off the TC and pop out the clutch and it’s even quicker than that. Mrs ZT-T – The car can I’m sure, you probably can’t. You are not a formula one driver and I’m concerned about what you think you can really get done in less than 6 seconds – not on my watch babe!

It’s had a new clutch fitted when the block was changed (less than 2,000 miles ago) and ALL new discs and pads 12 months ago. Mrs ZT-T – It starts and stops, that’s normal. To be honest I sit in the passenger seat and feel that I brake for you a lot of the time.. I’m sure you don’t see half of what is in front of us.

Mileage is genuine, although somewhat irrelevant as I have the mileage when the new engine was fitted. Mrs ZT-T – There was bugger all wrong with the old engine, if the original engine was like a wife; you genuinely part exchanged it for a younger, faster model. Don’t get any ideas babe; I promise you it won’t be worth your while even trying.

It has a stainless exhaust system, it’s damned loud and has the kind of exhaust tone which genuinely gives any real driver ‘the horn’. Mrs ZT-T – That is both disturbing and a bit sick.. yes it’s loud; it sounds like a damned jet engine and you can’t hear yourself think. I feel I have stumbled upon the difference between our two species here, women think; inherently, and when they drive. You men don’t – generally.

When I told the dealer that this was my ‘compromise’ as a family car he said my wife must be amazing to put up with me. After 14 years I guess she must be. Mrs ZT-T – It’s true…….. I am amazing, I know it didn’t take you that many years to notice.

I will be sorry to see her go. Mrs ZT-T – You wouldn’t know what to do without me..

The number plate is genuine and will stay on the car when she sells. Mrs ZT-T – What exactly do you plan to do with it? Stick it on the wall? It doesn’t mean anything on any other car.

There really isn’t a mark on the bodywork anywhere, it’s never been ‘hit in a supermarket car park’ there are no scratches or dents other than the tiny one I have photographed in picture no 7. It is there if you look really hard. Mrs ZT-T – I know it’s there!!!! I get told about it ALL the time. You can’t even see it.

I’m very fussy where I park it to ensure I don’t pick up any scratches and marks I don’t want. Mrs ZT-T – I will be much happier when you don’t blame me for taking up two parking spaces in a car park, I’m sure with a ‘normal car’ your frequency in offering to take the kids shopping to give me some ‘quiet time’ will be less and less. – Yes I do know that you take the kids to make sure you can have parent toddler parking, it suited us both, I get some peace, and you get a decent parking space. It’s win-win babe.

The front bumper was painted as it was scratched by the garage I bought it from (after I bought it which was VERY annoying) although you can’t really tell unless it’s pointed out. Mrs ZT-T – That was a difficult week for us, how miserable can you be about a scratched bumper, it was a scratch; on a car… it really didn’t warrant the tantrums, I seem to remember you making a lot less fuss when you totally lost my digital camera.

The alloys could do with a refurb, there are a few knocks and scratched here and there. Mrs ZT-T – There were a lot less when you bought it which was a while ago, must be those mobile kerbs I’ve heard about. It’s more likely to the fact that you park SO close to the kerb I have to scrabble through the hedge to get out… maybe… just maybe you did actually scratch them.

This car is great value for money and I’m not allowed to say I would be happy with a part-ex. I think that is the rules on eBay. If I was looking for a part-ex then I have a couple of thoughts (remember that’s only if I was looking) I am a sucker for anything unusual or interesting. I love classic cars and kit cars. Try me you never know your luck… Mrs ZT-T – A diesel family estate would be nice, now is the time to tell you I would like a caravan babe – much as it’s going to upset you to hear I think it’s a good time. You can’t have another toy unless you run it by me first. Please email or ask a question with your requests and either me or my husband will get back to you.

What I mean is he will get back to you after he’s spoken to me.

If you have any questions please email me, if you would like to come and have a look you are more than welcome but please get in touch to arrange. If you have any comment please use the ‘ask a question’ thingy. And thank you for looking. MRS ZT-T – My husband will talk about this car, in fact it’s pretty much any car, night and day if you let him.. Good luck.

Christ. It's hard work to read.

The Focus one posted recently is still the best to me (the one with the drawings involved on what you could do with it).

He bought a TF500 and part exchanged it 6 months later? He must have more money than sense.
