Best Price Scrap Yard in Sheffield
Discussion
A couple of months ago I took my old Citroen ZX to European Metal Recycling:

I'd actually organised to take it to another scrapyard but when I arrived got told that I'd have to take the wheels and tyres with me! Not great considering I'd a) got a mate in a fiesta to follow me b) had put some extra wheels and tyres and scrap in the car. However, they then proceeded to tell me that I'd get a better price at EMR and they'd take it as it was.
Got £175 per tonne too! (£200 for the Citroen plus a few extra bits in the boot) It's quite an industrial site, just to let you know. Remember to take your tax disc out of the car if you've got any full months left on it too.
It's just turn up, go to weigh bridge office on the right hand side, put the car on the bridge he/she says, move the car when signalled, go back to the weigh bridge office to collect your receipt, hand in log book & keys, take receipt to cash office, done! Half a dozen fully loaded trucks came and went in the time I was there so they're just fine to rush you through.
HTH.
Cheers,
Tom
