Long shot but you never know. I have a very special MK1 Capri fitted with a brand new 2lt zetec engine. Everything has been replcaced in the last year. I fancy getting back into TVR's again so just wondered if someone was getting into classic fords.

Car will be featured next month in classic ford mag.

Cheers guys

When my Dad owned the garage our company 'hack' was always a 2.8i, one day we got a Tickford Turbo in, we kept it for a while longer than the others biggrin

Driving that at 18 I was like a dog with 2 dicks!

This is so tempting, I had two Capri's when I was a lad, there's something very unique and appealing about the shape. I wouldn't swap my Chim for it, just not the same animal, but it is a beautiful example.

Still hundreds left, think they over produced these engines then moved on to later engines .There perfect for classic and kit cars.Iv`e even seen one in a MGB ,they look like the old lotus twin cam so they look period in most old Fords.

He's right, you can stil get them new for reasonable money:

Thats why the conversion is so tempting.
