Hey,

I've just relocated all my AV / HiFi equipment to a wall on the opposide side of the room to my co-ax socket. Currently my plan is to run a white coax cable around all the skirtings, door frames etc, but it's gonna be a huge pain and is also likely to be very ugly.

Anyone know of any "thin guage" coax cable that would either a) sit in the groove of the skirting, therefore being less obtrusive or b) and flat coax cable that might run under the carpet ?

I also need to find a way of routing the cable of my turntable around the door frame and down to the amp - any ideas welcome,

Cheers,

Stu.

Personally I would remove the skirting and run proper cables behind it. Depends on your wall construction as to how easy / how much space. With plasterboard there's usually a decent gap between the board and the floor. If its an outside wall, you could go out through the wall, along the outside, and back in again.

Hey, thanks.

Probably should have explained a couple of bits.

1) I live in a rented place
2) It's a georgian seafront flat, with concrete walls which I've just spent a fortune getting redecorated.

Thanks for your suggestions, but with the options I have, I need to consider another method

white pvc trunking

double sided tape at intervals to skirting or wall

minimal damage, will at least look tidy and consistant

If its carpeted, there's usually enough space between the grip rail and the skirting to get a normal size coax under the carpet...I've done that in the bedroom and its completely hidden with no effort.....
