I doubt it. He's more of a Kim Jong-il than he is a Silvio Berlusconi.

The whole situation is corrupt. It seems to exemplify everything that's wrong with the modern world. The people at the top are only concerned with looking after their own interests.

The only way to remove him is to get the sponsors to withdraw as a result of his comments. FIFA and Blatter are so corrupt that only money talks.

Sadly, I have to say I agree.

We seem a bit obsessed with Blatter stories in the UK. They don't make the media elsewhere... hence he stays on.

He was speaking in English, so I presume that what he said was in reference to the Luis Suarez/John Terry situation, in which case it's bound to make more of an impact here.

Don't white players get abuse hurled at them?

Yes. Racial abuse? Probably not, at least not in caucasian countries.

I must admit, I'm not really sure what the fuss is about. Step Ladder should go. He's a useless wker, but as far as Blatter's indiscretions go, this is fairly low league. His corruption worries me far more than this, and I think that most people would lie if they, at times, didn't get frustrated with someone, and didn't pick up on their most obvious characteristic of those they were offended by.

I think that most of us could be accused of being racists, sexists, gingerists, beardist, agestists or fatists at some point, but the point is that we know that sport has a tendency to breed some of those sentiments to an detrimental level, so it has to be more cautious than the rest of us, but I do think that the best way to resolve a heat of the moment comment is to say 'Sorry'.

I don't want Blatter in charge, I hate the guy, but this seems a weak case.

Totally agree about Blatter. He has a job for life.

I see that Tokyo Sexwale has put his oar in about England keeping John Terry on as captain while the investigation is ongoing. Personally I think Terry is innocent until proven guilty even though I don't like him at all.

Have to agree with steameh. I dont think his going to step down, he doesn't want to. There is too much corruption in Fifa and Uefa.
