How do YOU spreadbet?

Curious to see what kind of parameters people have and targets they set.

Im on a 3min chart so only after a small amount of points, target 20 points on the Dow and 10 on the footsie with a stop of twice that, which I know sounds silly to risk more than you could win but I feel it puts me closer to a profit than a loss from the start

I also have a load of rules about how much I can lose and the amount of losing trades in a row before I stop for the day, but no limit on amount I can win.

My biggest problem is discipline in myself, I don't listen at all to anything I say so when I win I am mostly indifferent, but when I lose I generally ignore all the above and lose properly!

Today was one of those days I kindly gave back to the market a fair bit of my pot, nice like that.

So how do you/don't you go about it?

I think you'll find most people keep their cards close to their chest when it comes to spread betting. If someone is brave enough to admit to doing it on here then they soon get ripped to pieces. Also no one likes giving away their methods so asking like this will get you nowhere.

I analyse all the daily market reports I get from various wealth managers, to see where the majoy day events are timed, study all the charts, then just press whichever button I feel like with no stops and no targets..

I like to live on the edge...

Pah. Being a company director and developing my build to be more powerful, I don't look at anything. I just click "buy" when I feel suitably pumped and ready for a fight.

iii should only be used to read when having a st. as the contents of both iii and your toilet will be the same
