Hi all,

This is my first post here, so please let me know if this is on the wrong section.

I'm looking for some suggestions for vehicles that have particularly deep and wide dashboards.. I know it sounds like an odd request, but this is for ideas for a new competition audio car.. The objective is to have speakers mounted as far away from the driver as possible (both forward and laterally) without obstructing the view out the windscreen..

Something like the dash you'd get in a people carrier (think: citroen picasso). Preferably not a high-theft-risk vehicle. For reference my current competition car is a BMW E39.

If you have any suggestions and could post a photo up, that'd be great.

Many thanks

I thought the VW Beetle was famous for having one of the deepest dashboards ever because of the bodge job they did fitting a Beetle body onto a Golf chassis?

New beetle is a good call guys, but they're a bit narrow. Keep 'em coming, thanks smile

To get any bigger than the beetle, you're going to be looking at full-size MPVs, I think.

Looking at the outside shape, I'd imagine that the Ford S-Max must be pretty big too.

Yep, Mk4 Renault (Grande?) Espace... Plenty of room and can be picked up fairly cheap!

Mk1 and Mk2 Galaxy have dashboards you could sleep on - not sure about mk3.

If you want something a bit cooler than your average people carrier, what about a Renault Avantime?
