All bikers are angels, apparently.

For every idiot on a bike, there's also one in a car.
The only difference is, people in cars don't have to get to point B as quickly as possible.
There is a much bigger difference than that...The only difference is, people in cars don't have to get to point B as quickly as possible.
When an idiot on a bike meets a sensible driver in a car, the biker dies.
When an idiot in a car meets a sensible rider on a bike, the biker dies.
Sensible riders are at much greater risks from idiots in cars than vice versa.

So did you hit the car with the bike or did you actually punch and kick the car?
As it was a bend & I was braking hard I couldn't turn enough to completely avoid them, hence fending myself off the side of their car with my boot.I would expect a thread in here to go this way, but the actual issue is why you lot seem to be siding with a dangerous driver? if I'd been in a car I'd have smashed into the back of them & I bet the resulting thread would be different here. My extra options due to the bike being much narrower allowed me to avoid the full results of their actions.

Very well put indeed. When an idiot on a bike meets a sensible driver in a car, the biker dies.

I think you should have explained this orginally to minimise any backlash. I think I'd also rather have my booted foot deflect me off a car rather than my knee/shin trapped between the two.Hooli said:
Not in jest at all, they tried to kill me & I protected myself. I couldn't physically stop before going along side them anyway because they pulled out so late. I see it as no different to punching back when someone attacks me, it's pure self-defence.
Yes they saw you coming and thought, "I know, I'm going to attempt to kill him".
I thought biking was a macho thing, and not something that made riders b
h about being a victim. Whilst willy waving that they've happily kicked someone's door in. By the way, should you not have stopped as it was an accident, and damage was caused (by you)?
(I just posted this in the related thread, but actually meant to put it in here)...
I drive a BMW and I'm fully aware of the rep that goes with the car. However, I feel that I'm a very courteous driver, very aware, and follow the rules of the road. Especially now since I drive a BMW, in an attempt to buck the trend! So that's me.
Now I'm sure that there are some very sensible riders out there, but why is it that 90% of them seem to ride like complete a
holes?! They speed excessively, cut corners, and ALWAYS undertake without any care or consideration on the motorway.
Most seem to have a death wish. I know of a few motorcycle accidents that have happened in my area, in each of these it was determined that the rider was at fault. Two of the three died.
I'm not stereotyping, this is just my observation. Maybe you lot shouldn't be so quick to stereotype others? Since you've probably got the worst reputation.

The old bikers are better then car drivers etc
I'm a car driver I will never ride a bike as I think its too dangours end of story my cusion used to race bikes at the TT he would never ride on the road.
From past experiance there are 2 types of rider
'Biker' who has got a second to spare likes to intimidate you by rinding on your back bumper cuts in and out of heavy traffic so if you've left a gap for brakeing and suddley everything stops you've got no way of stopping Oh and they tend to think its big and clever to do wheelies as the go past country pubs. Oh and they tend to think they can ignore speed limits
Motor Cycleist (sp): Those riders who like people who like driving don't try and intimadate car drivers out of the way and enjoy riding safely and are happy to wait behind for a safe place to pass
I always try and move over for bikes to allow them to pass as easy as possible you can normally tell the differnce between the 2 types one will thank you the other won't
I know they're are good and bad with everyone and car drivers aren't perfect but neither are bikers/motor cyclists
