Hi guys

Got an early 430 and just had my Speedo come back from etb so now it actually works! Only thing is its constantly clicking ( every tenth of a mile) but the odometer is still working normally so is this normal? It's going to drive me bonkers if it is!

Cheers

Jon

Steve Heath Bible, p248 discribes a mod so it only clicks every mile. A post made by a Mike Haynes on TVRCC.

Good spot. My '93 400 clicks away to its little-hearts content!! After 9-years is still gets on my nerves!!

After an expensive rebuild, I would be rather reluctant to undertake that modification, let-alone my ageing example!!

I haven't enough fingers to do the maths for different tyre ratios....!!!

Hey! That's me - I posted that in about 2001 and I still have my pride and joy.

I would recommend if you can afford it to replace all your dials for an up to date set from somewhere like Smith's. There will be some calibration challenges but living with a clicking speedo, dodgy lighting and shaky tacho and unreliable fuel gauge is not much fun (but very TVR)

strangely my fuel gauge is spot on and my tacho doesnt flicker, though the lighting on them are abit crap but then its still better than a triumph!
