Need two HDMI outputs few inputs and would like it to be cheap!

The few I have found with two outputs seem like fortunes! Have tried a HDMI splitter but doesnt seem to work.

Onkyo are hard to beat. I picked up a TX-SR705 a year ago for less than £200 on eBay. It has been faultless and still looks brand new.

This doesn't have a pair of HDMI outs on it. From my research when I was buying a new amp, I found that typically it only had a pair of HDMI outs on it if it came with a heftier price tag. There may be exceptions to the rule of course, but a run of the mill (but rather good) Onkyo 609 - £500 doesn't have them but the 809 does but it also comes with a huge price tag frown

That's what i'm finding...

I like my AV however not enough to warrent spending loads on an amp.

Any other options? Tried a splitter but that doesnt work? Would one with power work so it could switch between the two?

You need to get a decent splitter as it should work. They usually have some sort of signal sensing but it will work. Have a look at somewhere like this http://www.keene.co.uk for a decent quality one. Amps with 2 HDMI outputs are generally higher up the model range ... with Onkyo I think it starts with the 709 which is £700 ish.

Which splitter did you try? I was sceptical about trying one myself, but picked up a 'Neet' one for £25 and it is brilliant - very reliable and no noticeable loss of quality. This splitter did include a power supply.

Would two cheaper amps work instead of one costly unit? As long as your source has two outs you should be OK?

Just a cheap one from fleabay.

Will give one of the above a go before forking out more money!

Not sure of budget but a Yamaha RXV767 has twin hdmi out and also networking. I have it's bigger brother the 2067 which is simply awesome.

Speak to Rick at Musicraft as they appear to have for £350 (Really helpful and knowledgeable):-

Have you looked at Denon's? My amp has two outputs and I dont remember it being hugely expensive.
