David Cameron visited McLaren to help open their new factory, and said in a Q&A that since becoming PM he hasn't driven a car.

Apparently he's not allowed - I'd have thought that he'd be allowed with a couple of his protection detail with him but maybe not.

I'm sure he could if he wanted to - royalty do. No doubt he gets driven everywhere because it's convenient.

One of the ministers in the last government comes on track days with us. (not Drayson, one with a real job)

It was always a dilemma. Although I applauded his PHness and was happy to have his business it was very hard not to launch into him for being part of that shambles.
