It's a close friend of mine, it's funny I've always wondered how it would feel being on this side of things! I take it you didn't see anything??? I don't know what happened, at the moment my friend is in intensive care and we all have our fingers crossed that he is soon to be on the mend. frown

He too was on a bike, it still unclear what happen, but he met a lorry coming the other way!!!

He is going back into surgery tommorrow. He has broken his back in three places, broken both legs and both arms has a broken pelvis and smashed both his cheekbones. They have already removed a kidney and his spleen, but thankfully he doesn't seem to have done any damage to his head!!

I can find the words to describe how I feel, numbness and helplessness are probably the closest. We will just have to keep all our fingers crossed.

Thats not too good.
Well hopefully in good hands at the hospital.
Long road to recovery lies ahead and he will need all the support he can get.

He didn't have his op on Sunday so waiting to hear when. He is still sedated and on the ventilator :-(

Doesn't help I'm dealing with a serious collision this morning involving a motorbike!!!

Really sorry to hear that, I hope he makes a full recovery. My brother had a massive rta a few years back and it was touch and go for a while if he'd even make it out of hospital. He broke every major bone in his lower body and spent months in hospital. His right leg is an inch shorter than his left which has left him with a slight limp, but apart from that he is fully fit.

Is that the sharp right hander if you're coming from the roundabout in Hook towards Reading, with a little junction on it towards Rotherwick?

P.S. Hope your friend makes a full recovery.

It sounds very similar, hoping for the same outcome, if he comes away from it with just a limp it would great. I think we are all prepared for the many months it will take to fix him!

No I didn't attend, but I know the corner well - very tight indeed.
