I'm after a couple of tyres to go on the back of my S6 and have noticed that many of the on line suppliers are knocking out M3 specific Continentals at a reduced price. For example, blackcirces are offering the M3 specific tyre at £178 fitted in a 255/35/19 when the regular SC3 is priced at £273.

Now this tyre is obviously for my S6 and not going to be fitted on an M3 so do you guys reckon there will be any risk to fitting and M3 specific tyre to a different vehicle?

The M3 specific tyre is based on the original SportContact pattern. The CSC3 is a different pattern altogether.

In addition, there were changes made to the bead apex and compound to ensure more grip and stability.

In other words, buy the cheaper Conti at a saving of close on £400 for a set. More than likely one could not really tell the difference between both. smile
