Average Age of Wedge Owners!

I have noticed that we have a couple of lists for Wedge owners. One list shows who owns a Wedge and what type, on PH, and the other a general list of known Wedges in existence. This of course is a good thing as we can see at a glance who owns what, and if it still exists. But there is a problem. What we don’t know is what age these owners are and what sex. You see I have been accused of a mid life crisis by some of my nearest and dearest, and I want to prove to them that this is in not the case. I own a Wedge because a Wedge is what I like to drive. The car is loud and the owners are proud, that’s all there is to it. However, in reality I am having a bit of a difficulty convincing them. So I’ve come up with what I think might be a solution. When we make these lists of Wedge owners, why not slip in the owners age and sex. That way we’ll be able to work out the average age of all the owners and compare it to say twenty years ago, and if the average is still the same then none of us are guilty of a mid life crisis. On the other hand if the age has increased over the years or more men are driving Wedges than they used to, it will prove that either we ARE going through a mid life crisis or we just have better taste in cars than the fairer sex. I don’t know the views of other Wedge owners on this topic but I sure would like to learn. So, come on Wedge owners, help me out on this one and let’s have some ideas and views. This may seem trivial to some but I have a reputation to maintain and I can only achieve this with the help of fellow Wedge owners.

Probably double the age of the car would be a good starting point.

Its good to know that youngsters want to get a Tvr let alone a wedge which is a handful compared to more modern tvr's. By youngsters I mean 20's/30's, I bought my first wedge 8 years ago so am 50 something .

I'm 35 years older than Tracey, wink the Essex Girl Wedge. said it was a mid-life crisis car and Ruari, my son, unkindly announced that I'd missed that. Can't think what he meant!confused

I'm 31 next month with my wedge being made in 1985.

It's an interesting one this. Wedge shaped sports-cars are very much the kind of thing people my age grew up with on their bedroom walls, and watching on TV. Back To The Future DeLoreans, Knight Rider Trans Ams etc.

I LOVE that it's such an 80's sports car. Pop-up headlights ROCK! biggrin

My average age is 27 and a lot (my maximum age thus far is 55), the Wedge was 25 in October.
