Probably an SVX, as above. The other Subaru coupe is the 80's/Early 90's XT.

SVX... They have a NA 3.0 Flat 6, 4WD and were auto only.

Loads of people have done manual conversions using parts off a Legacy or later Impreza. Cheap to buy maybe not to run.

I wouldn't mind having a clean one with a manual conversion with 18inch BBS split rims on it... smokin

Cheers guys. Definitely an SVX. Can't mistake a 90's Jap coupe.

With Toyota & Subaru hopefully we'll have another golden era of Jap 'sports' cars.

Subaru (for me) had a habit of making utterly Japtastic cars. Hard to describe their appeal. They just ooze 90's style.

Love them.

Confused by their latest Avensis-ification of their car design though frown
Which probably explains their near invisibility these days (new models, I mean).

They had their moment in the sun, no matter how good the current crop of cars are (and I suspect they're actually quite good).

Hopefully the Toyaru will revive their fortunes, but one car with different badges is hardly a "golden era"

Speaking of which, this must be the only Japanese car that was too obscure for the later GT games.

iirc only about 2000 ever imported into the uk.

Lots of gearbox failures (mine included) which will have written a lot of them off. Great cars but too many svx specific parts make them expensive to run.

I used to always save up for the GTO or the 3000gt as it's known over here. Was the SVX front wheel drive? I vaguely remember using one for the FF races in the game.

Edit: I just realised my own stupidity and that all Subaru's are all 4 wheel drive.

The US did get a front wheel drive version of the SVX for a bit less money as Subaru were struggling to sell many nerd

You learn something new everyday and I'm not as stupid as I first thought. I'm just sure I can remember using one on Gran Turismo for the FF races but it was more than 10 years ago now so I might be wrong. Definetly remember using the Eclipse for the FF races too.
