Looks and sounds great....and nice novelty to see a caterham lapping with 140mph+ on the dial!

Anyone know how this stacks up vs. the equivalent Radical?

SR3 there this August 1:06.5
SR8 1:04.6

Versus 1.05.29 for the SP300R

I'll check my data for corner speeds and max speeds in a while. Impression is that it goes faster in a straight line, but has lower corner speeds than the SR3.

So taking some speeds from a 1:08 lap of an SR3. I've got max speed before braking and min speed in the corner. SPR first...

Down Craner/Old hairpin

Up the hill/McLeans

Back Straight/Esses
143/65 133/68

They'll be closer with the 1:06.5 SR3 lap, but the SPR clearly has more straight line speed although slower through the slower corners.

Well, it's longer and heavier Straight line speed looks very impressive though

Heard a rumour its currently over geared at the moment which could find it a chunk more time. Still in development so pretty impressive so far I'd say.

strange it went from launched and racing in 2012 to being still in development!

Assuming it's a six speeder, I'm not sure it got to 6th before Redgate. 2 downs before and 3 ups after. So yes they could change the gear ratio. But that's a 10 minute job, so why's it not done?
