Come on Nonny this is disappearing off the radar.

We need a date (and for some an alarm clock - mind you dawn will be later now we are past the equinox!)

We can get two in before the weather sets in for the winter

I want to hooooooon!

So if we choose those dates I'll be able to park without Porky being assaulted?

Only kidding it's nice to have a Tiv so far behind

Eh? What? Someone mention my name?

Sorry, haven't been here for a bit.

Datewise, I reckon I could either do August 1st, or poss late August/early September?

Have got a route, methinks, with much more faster main roads, which as we found, are deserted when out early enough.

Could do with going up there for a sniff around, I now think it's very important to find a 'comfort break' en route.

It did look like there were a couple of places open last time, but I'd like to get something fixed up for definite.

I suppose the really important bit is the date. And what time does the old sun come up, at the other end of the summer? Would have thought we'd still be ok for a 6am start at least.

What do we think?

Yes! Yes! Yes!

The issue of sunrise is a bit fanciful (but boyz will be boyz) after the leisurely start last time but I agree the earlier the better as things get crowded by 9.30!

If you need a hand with the recce give me a shout (company petrol - the bastards owe me!)

Lets just pick a date and do it

Hey Guys

I would like to get involved in dawn raid if its possible.
Sadly still stuck with the nissan micra so I would be grovelling for a lift!

If anyone can help, I'd like to tag along!

Official sunrise times for East Midlands which is as near as dammit the same latitude as the peaks district as makes bugger all difference to us
August 1st 05:24
August 29th 06:11

Ben
I should have a spare seat in the Tam.
But I'll be setting off early in the morning rather than stopping overnight.
The rev limiter only knows one 4 O'clock, & it ain't the one I'll be setting off at

I have been known to do early mornings. Better not go out to the pub the night before. I will keep looking out for the Dawn Raid posts and see what happens!
I live in Leeds BTW so would I have any trouble getting to where the raid will start?

hi Ben
Your profile says you live in Wakefield?
I live in Pontefract, not too far away.
We could possibly meet at Woolley services or my place.
I might be out tomorrow morning for the drive to CITP2. Maybe chat then, Seek me out as I have to go to work in the afternoon

6am start is good, better than 6.30, as we found out last time (less time on quiet roads).

Why get up even earlier and forgo saturday night drinking... just do what we did, stay over then go drinking and roll into bed at 2am, that way you get at least 3 hours sleep

And the only reason I was so far behind your Porsche is a) Coz I was making sure I kept our FTO in my rear view mirror and b) I couldn't be arsed to change out of 2nd

Is this another design fault with TVRs?

I also seem to remember it was nearer 7.30 than 6.30 but I agree we need to get going to get the best of the day.

Somebody suggest a date so I can tell her that would like to be obeyed that disappointment is part of lifes preparation

If we do it soon we can do it again before the mornings get too dark

Come on Nonny we need your guidance oh tuliped one

Hello Helen

Sooooo, are you a former surfer as in wetsuits, suntans and sun bleached hair... or did you spend a lot of time in a darkened room looking at a computer screen

Anyhow, welcome and more the merrier!
