If you had to "Do A Monti" to the UK, who would be useful to bring into the government instead of the usual liars.... I mean... suspects???

Why

And don't scream winky etc

Maybe they vote labour in some desire to help people

I'd far rather have some who wants to help instead of someone who wants power power and more power

The whole mess we are in is because of our fking obsession with which colour of tie the s are wearing

Lets have a look at the list:

Redistributive taxation

Authoritarianism

Tax and spend, tax and spend (and then some more)

Financed/owned by the Unions

Social engineering

Big government

Economic illiteracy

Bloating the public sector

Overpaying same

Contempt for the armed forces

Over legislating

Intrusion into every aspect of our lives

Manic Europhilia

Arse-clenching hypocrisy

Supported by Polly Toynbee et al

Yes, they were Socialists.

Farage, as International Development Secretary. He'd hate it, his department would hate him, and I (as appointed PM, obviously) would wet myself laughing at every cabinet meeting watching him trying to stop his head exploding.

You see, the fundamental secret to being a successful supreme leader is knowing how to delegate, and have a bloody good chortle while you're doing it.

Tonker as Home Secretary, Soovy at Justice, Globs as Foreign Secretary (because there's no better way to justify an increase in the defence budget than by having a chippy chief diplomat trying to start a war with practically everyone else), Derestrictor at Education (predict a renaissance of pithy, phlegmatic prose from our youth), Groak at the Treasury, ViperPict as Secretary of State for Wales (see "Farage" above), Chim with a dual portfolio of Health and Transport (good luck with that smoking ban in cars, BMA) and, um, Vinnie Jones as Defence Secretary.

There. That should do nicely.

Add in Rammage as Minister for Wimmin and you've got the full set.

I'm sure it's far from exhaustive, any additions welcome.

Quite a lot, in all seriousness, though the yellow spots aren't helping.

And who would i have in a technocrat government

I have no idea as the only names i will know will be those that are in the media so to that end i don't want them to be in charge as they wanted to get into the spotlight which should automatically discount them from being in charge of anything.

As to the idea of pulling folk in from the world of business to run stuff instead of voting for which idiot i want to waste my cash that gets a big thumbs up from me

Nope, the secret is putting the fear of god into those beneath such that they are prepared to do anything for position. Now, some systems that might mean perform to my wishes or you die, other systems, do what I want and you will reap monetary reward.
Then you chortle, as they scurry around trying to find favour with you.

No the basic motive behind socialism is to improve the lot of those at the bottom end of society

Labour did nothing other then make it worse
