Just had a remap done in Stirling by SP Autobahn and can’t believe the change in the car, 130bhp before and now at 180bhp. Should make the economy slightly better, but will find that out after I stop grinning like loon and gunning it all over the place, now addicted in a good way

Stu is doing a discount on these at the moment, so early xmas present to myself that the wife does not know about.

Looked into best mapping before and revo seem like one of the best and have good reviews for German cars - http://www.revotechnik.com/.

I did the same on my '03 Golf 130. Made 176hp and 297lbft. Standard clutch dodnt last much longer after it though, maybe 6000 miles, this was at 27k miles. I ended up getting a Sachs Organic one fitted and its still on the car now at 90k miles...

Glad your happy with remap on your Audi A3 Grant, totally transforms your car perfromance and drivability and also my demo mark 5 golf was seeing over 70mpg average on full journey the other day albiet i was taking my time..Revo aim for better performance throughout the entire rev band, your vehicle being a diesel it used to die out as early as midrange where is now it will keep on pulling and pulling ;-)

Demo golf has now seen 112k on its original clutch as has a customers done over 100k Passat and many others on original clutch....as with anything all depends how driven in a previous and current life in a standard tune or not.

One thing is for sure once re-mapped by REVO you will never go without it again.

Had a quick drive of the demo Golf while having work done on one of my cars at SP, and can confirm the power and (more importantly) the torque and driveability were utterly superb. All that and better fuel consumption, what's not to like? Almost made me wish my Audi A1 was a diesel. Although I've now checked on the REVO website and they do a remap for my 1.4TFSI.....

Yes Steven correct,REVO remap available for your 1.4 tfsi.
We offer a 30 day money back if not satisfied with results also;-)

SPS switch also available so with turn of a switch you can have stock setting, stage 1,stage 2 or theft mode so vehicles fuel is killed upon acceleration or can switch to where the vehicle has no Boost etc and can only be driven with minimal power (e.g your car away to not so familiar service garage/paint shop etc)

REVO remaps are for all Porsche,Audi,Volkswagen,Seat and Skoda and Ford
Not sure exactly who do remaps for Renault but probably a quick search on google may find someone.REVO can do as much a 6 months developement/testing on each engine variant before releasing the product so make sure you choose your tuner wisely.

How are you on late model VAG cars with tricore processors with 512 bit encryption? I believe these can't be flashed via the OBD II port. My wife recently bought a new Tiguan 140 TDI and she's finding it a bit slow after her old BMW 123d....well she would, wouldn't she?

While I'm here....when I bought my MKV Golf TDI 170 PD in '08 there weren't that many companies offering remaps because of DPF problems on remapped cars. Has that issue been resolved and do you have a map for a TDI 170 which still has its DPF?

TIA

Interesting - good to have a Revo dealer locally. How are the cars set up? Do you have a rolling road?

Hi, Yes your new Tiguan 140 can be done but to require your vehicle for a few days for the extra work and ecu to be removed first then it can be flashed as normal.

The recent promotion "REVO WINTER SALE" includes 10% OFF current rrp and a FREE SPS switch WORTH £180... so your vehicle can be reverted back to stock settings at any given time or between different maps or theft mode on certain vehicles..Offer and Sale starts today and ends 31st of December.
http://www.revotechnik.com/index.php?mod=sps

The golf mark V tdi 170pd is not on the list for remap due to the issues these vehicles have as standard whether remapped or not.No issues occur after remap but they have issues as standard so not listed/included for obvious reasons.

Petrol vehicles are done via live data collected via diagnostics, normal driving conditions and pull from e.g 1000rpm to near red line 3rd/4th gear and so on and so on. Diesels require less data to be collected but are tested in similar manner

I'm looking to get a remap for my sister's a '08 1.9tdi Fabia. Is it a DIY job using your OBDII plug in dongle or does it have to be done at a fitting centre.

Re-flash can be done at my premises or local to my premises also as a mobile service.New files are flashed through diagnostics port on your vehicle.

As for new car warranty..There is certain VW Main Dealers that offer REVO remapping on their new cars so this shows the confidence in the product. All of the original vehicles engine safety protections stay in place after remap.

Any info required etc or more details on the current REVO SALE feel free to contact myself (Stuart) at SP Autobahn 07973 385 463

Surprised this thread hasn't been kicked out yet, if it was about track days it would have been. smile

What results would you get from mapping a 2008 A3 1.8turbo? As im finding it extremely dull after chopping the money pit (v8 rs6) in for it.

indeed, a rise from 160 to 220bhp and from 184 to 275lbft on the 1.8tfsi, think ill be in touch in the new year to get some fun added to the car! smile

Is the mapping done on a dyno? if not ill be doing before and after tests to check the claims versus actual.

Out of interest - what are the disadvantages of a remap? I presume there are some and that's why cars don't come 'remapped' as standard?

results are 300 bhp,310 lbft/420nm with the edition 30..New DSG software also has excellent gains and is available

UP to DEC 31st additional 10% off and free SPS switch.Pricing etc as mentioned http://www.revotechnik.com/resources/uploads/files...

Only positive gains, there is plenty extra power/effiency left on the table when the vehicle leaves the factory...as mentioned previously the main dealer are now eventually seeing this and some even offer revo
