He said

Forgot to mention the main part, the engine lmao.

Will be ordering it in the new year, its quite a beast. Full race ready engine, (will have ti build it all myself  ;D ) and it works out about 2332cc , so basically a 2.4 litre. Looking at around 190-200 whp, which dunt sound a lot but with around 350 pf of torque, in a car that weighs less than a ton, il be aiming for 12 second quarters eventually  redface

I said

2332cc , so basically a 2.3 litre

EFA.

He said

insurance company's will round the cc UP to the neareast litre, so will be classed as 2.4, and theres a transporter engine thats 2370cc which is classed as the 2.4 model which is the engine i will tell the insurance has been put in it.

So, whos right?

2349cc - 2.3litre, 2350cc - 2.4litre

Simple mathematic rounding up/down principle?

Well, are you putting a race engine into the vehicle, or a Transporter engine?

FFS are we really discussing this? Just tell the insurance company the volume to the nearest 1cc and let them decide what they want to write on their forms.

As a marketing exercise, most car companies round up the figures to make the engines sound bigger. So whatever engine badge you see on the back of a car, you can pretty much guarantee that the actual size is smaller.

The main reason for this topic was the comment he made,

"The insurance company will round it UP".

I have no idea but call BS.
