Mum about to buy a 350z...
Discussion
So this weekend she is planning to get a 350z. She was bored by the thought of a quattro TT, 320V6 SLK, but she also didn't like the cayman.
She has always liked the look of a 350z and know we've seen the price of them she is convinced. We've found a very clean '07 z in grey (or dark silver?) with 19k miles. Now the only thing that concerns me is that it must have only been used for short journeys as the drivers seat is showing signs of wear on the base so it matches it's age but not it's miles if that makes sense?
Does the 350z shrug off short journeys due to it being n/a rather than turbos that dislike short journeys for example?
Plus any pointers would be great! Looking forward to borrowing my mum's car again!

Pretty cool mum, getting a decent car and letting you borrow it!
and getting the best colour
The guys are right small things - like CDs skipping in the BOSE cd player, odd niggles but nothing major.
I would always HPI a car, and mine is about the same mileage and the seat wear is OK, Im not a small lad either. Although leather quality on Nissans are not great, my navara leather is rubbish quality.

Clutches are a weak point and clicking rear axles are a nuisance. Apart from 20 mpg and pretty high wear levels on rear tyres they're brilliant. Just got snagged for another £460 RFL which feels a little unfair considering I'm already being taxed to the hilt with fuel duty, but hey-ho.
Really pleased with mine.

Hi sorry for ignoring my original post (I also asked in GG and started an argument
)
She has gone for a '58 plate with Bose, sat nav, heated seats (it's got a GT pack so these might be standard with that) but it's in chav spec White. Actually it looks awesome in White and it gets away with it as I like jap cars in White!
Will report back after the weekend. It seems wrong that me the pistonhead is picking up his new smart car this weekend and my mum is picking up her 350z!!
Funniest moment was when she commented at how 'fruity' the exhaust sound was

Forgive me for being nosey but how much did she pay for it? Z prices have been dropping like a stone recently.
I *think* it was £14.5k after a feeble bit of haggling
Seems like a lot of car/performance/gadgets for the money. She was thinking of a budget around £20k but there was no need to spend anywhere near that and has covered her fuel & tax cost difference (compared to more fuel efficient car) in one go over the 3 years she's likely to have it.
I'm just glad she choose that as in close second was the new squished mini coupe thing!
