Specific application help - company I did my placement with?
Discussion
There is a graduate engineers job at the firm I did my placement with when at Uni.
I enjoyed my placement and it was far far more useful than Uni itself!
I wish to apply for this job, how should I go about it?
I had favourable reviews for my placement, and coming back was something they had said would be welcome. This was about 6 years ago.
Problem is the company has changed a little, new premises etc, the department probably has new staff.
I want to point out that they did obviously say they would invite me back, but I don't want to be too cocky/pushy with it.
N.B. this company wrote me a presumably good review for a job I applied for about 3 years ago, so maybe they will still remember me?

Simply apply for the role as described in their advert. Your CV will include details of your placement with them as will your covering letter. That, assuming you have the minimum essential competencies required in the advert, should get you at least to interview. Good luck! If it would help; happy to have a quick scan of your CV.
