FF RR, but before they introduced the nasty TFT 'dials' which spoil it for me. Fabulous interior otherwise, at any price point.

Agreed, but I quite like the "dials".

Love the Spyker, one day I will own a C8 but for all out lovelyness, regardless of comfort, it has to be the TVRs, probably the Sagaris which takes the top honors in my opinion.

Photos can't do these justice, unfortunately.

I can't find one with the 'marine ply' satin finish inserts - but they just look so 'right'.

I've never gotten why so many people like Range Rover interiors so much. I had a mate once who practically came running over to me to show me one parked up. I mean they are nice but I just don't think they're anything special.

Completely forgot about the XF and XJ. Although its unusual, I do love the rising automatic gearbox control.

I still think they look like they're made by Matsui / Saisho.

Love the Spyker. A definite Euromillions purchase. But I preferthe non-aribag steering wheels. It looks like something from the 1900s. The whole car has a steampunk look to it.

Also like the simplicity of the Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead interior. The coach doors and the teak deck just add to the quality of it.

I like the early XJ6 interior. Quite nice anyway, but the best thing is that the pillars are nice and slim, and the glass house is large so you can actually see out of it. It feels very airy and light in a way modern cars do not. OK, so probably not the best ever but I can't think of anything I personally have experienced which is nicer.

Like I said they are very nice but I just don't think this:

...Is as nice or as special as say what the Spykers is. I mean to me it's 4 square vents, dials and a sat nav screen which is the same as about 90% of cars on the road already.

I think the Renault Espace Mark 4 (2002 - present) is worthy of mention:

To me, this is one of the rare cases of a futuristic concept interior actually making it to mass production. Remember that this car came out nearly 10 years ago. Even today it looks like something out of a concept car.

The central dash is almost completely symmetrical and has no controls whatsoever. Heater and air-con controls are in pods on each door, with the driver getting more controls than the passengers. Audio is controlled via a remote control and steering wheel buttons.

There are no analogue gauges. The speedo is digital and all instruments are in an LED cluster, mounted centrally so that all passengers can see them.

Not only does the design look good, it also cuts costs. The smooth lines minimise the number of separate pieces required. The symmetrical layout and central instrument pod minimise the differences between LHD and RHD cars. The lack of dashboard switches and analogue gauges further reduces costs.

A masterpiece of French design IMHO. Whatever else I think of them, I have to admire Renault for having the balls to go with that interior.
