It would appears that Jeff Wayne is tweaking his classic album.

With part of this involving changes to the story of the journalist this is requiring the casting of a new voice/actor to replace Richard Burton. This has gone to Liam Neeson.

I missed the streaming press conference, and they haven't uploaded it anywhere else as yet. So the only thing to go from is the written press release.

So we have a new album in June 2012 and another tour of the stage version based on the reworked album.

I'm I great fan of the album and love the stage shows they have done the last few years, but I'm not sure on this. JW has always said it was a bit of a compromise to get the album to fit onto a double LP, so maybe this will give him the chance to see it how he wanted it originally.

Melvin /Minipete, I can answer that question. Of course it will be st, RB had possible the most evocative voice ever.

Some average film of a VW car driving around a town, yet one of the most memorable ads for VW. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5U9I7QrpSkk

Most likely not, but of all the people alive right now, Liam Neeson is one of two people i would have chosen to do this, the other being Charles Dance, however no-one can replace Richard Burton

I was hoping for Joe Pasquali to be truthful.

Another one for THE War Of The Worlds.
1978 seems such a short time ago.
Seen the live shows in Cardiff and Manchester.
Am also apprehensive about a re-working.
Gotta be better than that american re-hash with Mr Cruise
