Just had the pleasure of trying to remove the door cards on my Mk1.
Sweet Jesus, how the sodding hell does one get their normal sized hand in there to undo the allen bolts?

Managed to do the headlight upgrade this morning to xenon's and it took me less than an hour, been sat trying to get these door cards off since 8 this evening and I've only managed one so far!
Sod it, I give up, I'm going to bed!

Flexible shaft screw driver with an allen bit. Easy peasy.

You think that's hard, try doing the lock mechanism!

Removed mine today as well and it was nice that both sides had one burred allen head in there .grrrrr.

So had to drill the fker out which was not fun and just gave up on the other one for another day hehe

My windows aren't that reliable so thought it may have been moisture in there but all looked dry to me so maybe just need new regulators?

As with all TVR door cards, the wearing of a long sleeved 'T'shirt is advised and practice makes perfect smile

if you have access to the head of the fastener at an angle, a ball-head hex driver should be helpful?

An allen bit on a 6" extension will do the job as well.

Just reminded me that I got cramp in my hand when I did the first door card, rounded off heads as well. Bloody hand was stuck in the pocket!

Long reach flexible driver now!

I'm now an Olympic standard Twister player, the positions I got myself in last night trying to undo those sodding bolts!

I'm pleased to report TVR improved that for the T350 and Sagaris - 3x 10mm traditional hex bolts accessible from the bottom of the door via larger diameter holes through which a socket will easily fit - took 5 mins to get each door card off.

Only problem is the rubber shield fell off so now I have to work out how to fit that back !

I can do the MK1 Tuscan in 5 mins per side. On the tuscan the answer to the rubber shield issue for me was gaffer tape smile

I got one side off with no problems but the other side the allen heads are all rounded off, above I can see someone drilled them out, are there any other methods? I'm about to start the winter jobs! smile

If you can't drive a torx into it, then try to grind 2 edges on to the right sized allen driver so that there is a slight edge and then drive it into the bolt.

Might need to try several torx drivers and a bit of force to get it in. (not too much though)
