Hi all,

I'll keep this short.

A family friends dad is on dialysis due to kidney failure and he's now developed a rather nasty infection in his left leg. The dialysis can only clean his blood, not get rid of the infection.

It seems this could be the slippery slope down to a wooden box.

Now my situation is this. I have a duplex kidney system on my R. Is this OK for a donor kidney or am I pissing in the wind? Please excuse the pun.

I can only presume I need to be some sort of match for the recipient?

Cheers,

C.

why not ask the hospital for advice?

They would need to take your work up and blood type to find out if you match and then it could work.

Never know if you don't ask at the hospital rather than on the net.

Very commendable action you are doing btw.
