Touraeg V10 TDI ?
Discussion
PH posse,
Have seen a 57 plate (Nov 2007) TDI V10 Touraeg Altitude for sale, that I fancy. It's only clocked up 18,000 miles and is FSH at VW.
Vehicle in question: http://www.volkswagen.co.uk/used/search/#width@926...
I would get extended warranty in addition to the year included in sale for peace of mind.
Financial suicide or 'f
k it - you're only old once?' Been there and done it with a FFRR, thought this may be a tad different.

I have a V6 3.0 TDI Touareg - with a Bluefin upgrade. It's a big car and quite alarming when travelling quickly.
The 5.0 is mad - It's a bizarre experience driving such a huge car at the pace that it can manage - driven the V10 and it really is like nothing else - maybe a Dodge Ram or something (never driven one mind) - but if you have the cash, and clearly fuel prices aren't a problem for you, at least try it.

Hmmmm....
3 out of 3 of your replies are positive! Agreed - what's not to like. Have done a brief search on them and folk get all flustered with turbo's going and big engine repair bills.
I'm pretty 'soft' in my driving, so I thought it's be a solid buy. Never seen so many 'toys' in the cabin either!
I feel a trigger being pulled. Cheers.

There's way to many positives at the moment! I know it's my money/choice etc... but I'm a great respecter of PH opinions.
Pics to follow on readers cars at the w'end.
They sound like some kind of turbine engined thing too - immense! There's way to many positives at the moment! I know it's my money/choice etc... but I'm a great respecter of PH opinions.

They are a lot heavier than the petrol V8 (200kgs more I think?) but who cares?!
Only 1 Turbo AFAIK.
Just in case you hadn't made your mind up though.

.....I've just bought an R50, extended the comprehensive warranty for a year with VW for £900 and jobs a good 'un. Nothing dieselly (not a word I know) has the right to go this quick, it's a giant tonker toy and great fun. Do it.
