Hello everybody,
I never thought I'd be doing this, but i need the help of you fine people at the internet to help me choose my next car.
Things you want, nay, NEED to know :
Budget for purchase no more than 3000 (maybe a little extra something for a real good find)
car must be FUN to drive. I cannot stress this enough. I'm not after look at me styling, insane bhp, etc.. (but i'll put up with them if I have to ) , I want something that'll put a smile on my face every time i drive it.
MUST handle well, have decent feedback because this is going to be a stepping stone to something more powerful down the line.
Must not return silly MPG figures even though I don't do that many miles per year.
I've narrowed things down to 2 cars but am open to anything (oh yes...anything)
RenaultSport Clio Mk2 phase 2, the last of the 172's before the 182's came along. I prefer the rear end of the 172 with just one exhaust instead of the 182's twin exits (ideally the clio if I end up getting it will be rebadged as a 1.2)
My other choice would be an MX5 (apparently not many people on here like them though .... )
Maybe i've left something out, but anyway what do you think ? what would you put your hard earned few grand into.
