I'm sure we're all hiding secrets! Submit pictures of crap cars which you may have a secret desire for, or perhaps something equally as shameful that you've owned already which you had a soft spot for. You might be slightly embarrassed, or ashamed to admit these guilty pleasures!

Forget the PH's "purist" attitude, it doesn't matter whether it's a crapbox from the 80's, or it's a brand spanking new Range Rover "Footballers Edition".

Let it all out and don't be ashamed any more!!!

For me, it's the Datsun 240z with a wide arch conversion... Not the best example, but it's soooo damn pretty!! Drop in a big lazy V8 and I'm in heaven!!

Some may not see this as a guilty pleasure... but I'm sure many purists would hate this. In a recent thread it caused a bit of controversy!

I WANT!!! lick

For me the writing being picked out in white spoils that for me, otherwise I do really like that too. Like you say not one for the purists but it is a good looking car smile

If I won the lotter one of these would be my first purchase:

I'd go to America to find the best one I could find and drive it to the coast (the long way round) to a shipping point to ship it back over here.

240z is a timeless design. Small block, Skyline, na screamer or even M engine.

However I would have to go for an E-type with an XJR lump mated to a manual box AP's, Ohlins, mag wheels, slicks and an open pitlane at Spa.

Me too. I had a VTR from new. Catastrophic depreciation aside, it was HUGE fun to throw around!

I'm rather keen on the Volvo V50. Very fine looking estate IMO. Shame it's FWD only.

And this just looks dead cool IMO - my parents had one in the 70s.

8 series BMW for me. Nope, I'm not middle aged and male and wear gold bling, and neither do I understand why I like them....

Given my choice of brand allegiance I suspect my entire garage qualifies for this thead. But...

I had a boggo 1.6 one and loved it. I loved the looks, the way it drove, the dash was/ is superbly designed.
I long for a 1.8 16V ZX one.

I would love a nicely modded Nova.

This one is not too bad, needs a bit of cut and weld and paintwork to stop the door rotting away completely but it look to be in fairly good condition.

I'd want the full old skool boy racer spec though, 4-2-1 manifold, decat, stainless steel 2.5" straight through exhaust with a 5" tip, lowered on coilovers etc. Would be a total timewarp, and no doubt a reminder how far chassis strengthening has come!

I prefer the Pug 309 to the 205. Does that count?!

VW Caddy Maxi, with the 1,6 petrol engine. 100 mighty horses playing with 1.8 tonnes, but oh so good looking paperbag and practical

oh and that datsun is lovely, an itch I will have to scratch sometime
