Can anyone please give me a rough idea of the likely transportation cost of a small car on a flatbed between Edinburgh & southampton??

Cheers.

Or you could get the 'LHD/Vixpy1' Transport service to do it.

What will happen is LHD will go an look at the car, then Vixpy1 will pick it up and drive to Southampton, except he will break down in Sheffield, and the AA will take it the rest of the way

hehe

I got a quote a few weeks ago to move my Challenger from California to Chicago, one place wanted $3000, the other said $2800 yikes

I said screw you both and took my Dodge Ram with flatbed, took a week off work to bring it back myself.

If you pay, I'll take a flight up, pop in to my Great Aunt Martha in Inverkeithing for lunch, then drive it back down.

Cost me £350 to get a car from durham to hastings, so I'd guess around £500.

A much more fun way of shifting a car, nice one!

With shiply you tend to get an initial offer of £1 a mile all in (so if the car is 200 miles from delivery point it'll cost you roughly £200, dropping from there if the courier happens to have a job in that area and can offer you a cheap rate. Only thing is Shiply will block messages offering direct contact with the courier, so you need to work out a way of getting in contact).
