A week doesn’t seem to go by without a car manufacturer from the past reappears with a concept car or retro interpretation of a car from bygone days.

If you could bring back any car from a dead manufacturer what would it be and why?

I’d bring back the OSCA MT4. I think a light rear wheel drive barchetta with the Fiat 1.4 Multijet engine would be a perfect modern day sports car.

Alfa is still alive I think? The Mito seams to be a modern Alfasud

Oops. Didn't see the "dead" manufacturer requirement.

Being welsh i'd have to say a Gilbern with modern underpinnings and some sort of V8 engine, LS maybe. Chip Foose could prob do a good job of one!

Quite fancy a modern day Reliant Scimitar

Lynx Eventer would be nice too biggrin

Any shooting break car would do for me though. I just really like the concept...

Not sure Daimler is a dead brand. Jaguar was flogging badged XJ's as Daimler in the US quite recently.

I understand that Lancia is still producing cars,
However, I would love it for them to resurrect the Lancia Delta Evoluzione (and in RHD)

I'd take one over anything else currently on the hot hatch market.

Make the original, original Cobra. As a works Aston driver, Shelby wanted to use his office: the Aston DB3S and put an American V8 engine in it.

However the DB3S is a pure racing car, very expensive to make and Aston were havign problems with the then new DB4, so he was turned down and approached AC instead.

TVR ....(Griff, Chimaera, Cerbera, 'S', Speed 12, Sagaris, Tuscan, T350...)

Austin Healey 3000

Triumph TR6

1967 Alfa Romeo GTV

Rover 75 - (bit of a contentious one this) but in V8 form it had potential :-)

Was thinking the same thing, resurrect the Integrale. Forget about hot hatches, with a good enough spec and performance could go toe to toe with the M3/C63/RS5 etc.

Does the fact that Lancia are "dead to me" count?

Nope- in my eyes Lancia are dead also!
Is there actually a Lancia Dealership in the UK?
