Felipe Massa hoping for 'very different' 2012

Lets say he gets his wish and spends 2012 watching the action on Sky. Who would you put in that 2nd Ferrari. For arguments sake (and factually) the Red Bull and Mclaren drivers are staying put.

Bruno - one year contract to have the Senna name on the car and to see if he can really cut it at the top.
He'd sign it as well and that way the team leave the seat free for 2013 when we will knoe if Kuby is coming back at full force and every man and his dog seems to run out of contract.

That's what Red Bull and others are doing for them. Their own man (Biacchi (SP?)) doesn't seem much cop to me and certainly is not worthy. Suprised that Pauly D isn't getting a mention...
Bruno knows the ropes and has had (almost) a couple of years to bend other people's cars. He's ready for that make or break move to the top 3 or 4 teams and the name would give the marketing dept. wet dreams.
As said it would also leave the door open to them to plan for 2013 if he doesn't step up to the plate. In any event he is one of the better bets to bring the car home in the points for the WCC to back Fred up.
I can't see Fred being happy with being paired with the next bright young thing these days either. I'm sure experience has taught him he'd rather have a reasonably known entity to deal with...
As for Paul Di - I think that he has other fish to fry.
Assuming all other drivers are available with the exception of Vettel/Webber/Hamilton/Button, Ferrari should make a play for Nico Rosberg. He's been consistent for the most part and made the most out of a dog of a car where even the talents of MS have not been able to.
I think he'd at least remove the driver as a variable to a team that is lacking on many fronts. Ferrari is as much in a vacuum of team leadership talent as they are in a driver talent. That Massa has been able to hold onto that seat for this long is a testament to their lack of sense. That said, Ferrari is a draw, but passion aside, not sure the state of the team warrants a truly championship contending driver.

While Massa hasn't made many UK fans recently I still feel for the guy. Then Ferrari say things like this:

He must be so frustrated - he gets treated as second fiddle in the team, moving over for Alonso several times this season (at least), then they tell him to do better. How can he do better if he must always finish behind Alonso.
It would be nice to see some new blood in the driving seat at Ferrari, but whoever will still be 2nd driver. A hard decision for a racing driver to make - dream team with a catch.

Agree... He went to Ferrari as a very good driver, was denied a WDC on the last lap by a stonking drive by LH, and then had the spring incident. Since he came back he has been very much second fiddle. It must be as infuriating for him as a driver, as anyone else who is having a s
t time. Hopefully the slate will be wiped clean next season and team orders will only come about when the other driver has a significant lead. He can hardly complain this year, to be honest. Still, he seems to be doing as good a job of it as Webber is, with the 3rd best car in the field. To be honest, the best thing he could do was depart for another team.

Not to be altruistic toward Flipper to raise his employability elsewhere, but simply because a motivated Flipper means more points for Ferrari and points mean prizes.
