So have been looking at the classifieds for a while at the V12Vs and the most popular colours seem to be the greys, in fact not just one shade but there,s about three. Is grey a Aston colour? how comes its so popular? Not only that but they seem to only have black interiors as well, why so dull. Not even a nice red interior on a grey car. In germany the cars for sale are even worse they are all grey or black end of. Then there is the lightning silver v12 at top555 with two tone leather, looks a lovely car but they have painted the carbon bonnet slats, what a shame. Still at least you can find a white car here, perhaps with a nice red interior! Funny as the only car i have seen sold was the orange V12 very nice but perhaps a little to far. Perhaps.

Grey (or rather some variation of silver, accoding to AM) has always been an Aston colour - look at the DB5s and later Astons in the Bond films.

My first thought too. I even saw Steve Strange in his conical hat and pinky-purple make-up as the tune went through my head. paperbag

Disagree, the Lighting Silver one with the painted vents is lovely, I would have the same done if I were to have a V12V.

I would much prefer to see a grey V12V than a recession white one too.

Have you had a look for a red one? They look fantastic in Magma red smile

And you drive a DB9...

Some weird age inversion thing going on there...

Nothing to explain; it's just hilariously pretentious.

Not a buyer. Smokers pack = smell of tobacco (ok if you smoke). But heated seats means regular seats.

Just my view but I think lightweight seats and B&O are "must-have" items...

My list of requirements for my first properly expensive car was quite simple.

I wanted it to have a V12, convertible and have a flappy paddle gearbox. The answer was quite obvious really smile

Oh and technically I am a child of the 80's, but I was only born then, nothing else to do with it smile

I took a cr with the normal seats because my wife would have complained endlessly about the lightweight ones, as she did with my CSL. Also, the normal seats are designed to accommodate child seats, unlike the lightweight ones and my passenger is as likely to be a two year old or a five year old son as my wife or another adult.

Try the virage configurator for a taster of the range of std colours for AM - although these do change very slightly each year.

http://astonmartin.co.uk/cars/virage-coupe/configu...

At a quick glance there are about 8 shades of silver, 4 shades of black, 4 reds, 3 blues, 3 greens and 2 whites.

Silver and Black have always sold best on high end luxury cars so there is nothing new here. If you like a more daring colour then go for it!
