So there is a dispute over the fare - and lets say we believe the customer.
Argument ensues but seems to cool off and customer speaks to another car - girl with him is probably being gobby.
taxi driver looks ot be leaving when customer comes back, starts taking photos and probably making threats to get his licence taken away - appears to spit at car and then stands in front of it.
obviosuly the driver went to far - if he wanted to send a message he should have reversed and just nudged him with the wing mirror!

From what I read earlier - couple in taxi ask to be taken to destination for £7 - taxi driver refuses and says he can only charge the meter fee. Meter gets to £6 and couple tell him to stop - he doesn't stop...gets to destination and meter says £8 and the couple argue with him over the price.
On what I've read, I would side with the couple - they've tried to agree a price at the start of the journey - it was refused, but they asked to be let out when the meter read £6 as they (presumably) didn't have the money to pay any more than the £7 already offerred.

Theres usually a girl making things unnecessarily unpleasant. So there is a dispute over the fare - and lets say we believe the customer.

In the pub last week i was having a smoke, some girl comes up to me and says 'gimme a cigarette' I say no, its my last one. She goes and gets her boyfriend and says he's gonna deck me. Boyfriend comes along shakes my hand and tells her to stop being such a t
t. Out of all the times ive had grief in pubs and clubs, 95% of the time its been wimmin in similar alcohol fuelled self righteousness. They seem to think because you cant hit them it gives them the right to be downright rude and nasty.

I'd say about 40% from my experiences but you speak the truth. From what can be seen in the video I'd say the victim is probably a complete t
t, but thats no excuse to run someone down! Having watched the video, it looks like there was an argument between driver and passenger, no question about that, then plenty of pushing and shoving.
The passenger then appears to stand in from of the taxi and take a photo of the registration number and then go round to the drivers window and take a photo of the driver, which is when things heat up again.
Yes, I have no doubt the passenger was being a bit of drunken lout and could have walked away after taking his photos.
But... To me, the driver deliberately drove his car in such a fashion that his aim was to clearly kill or seriously injure the passenger. He could of and should have reversed away and driven away.
If you choose to be a taxi driver, you accept the fact that you will probably be on the receiving end of drunken abuse day in day out and if you don't accept this without having the urge to try to murder your fare then don't work as a taxi driver.
He should have got more than 6 months. He obviously tried to kill or seriously maim on purpose using his car.

It's disgusting...6months? Pfft...he'll be back out there ripping customers off within 4months!
But, is anyone actually considering the t
t stood infront of the car, is some sort of saint? Obviously does NOT justify the actions, but I'm very suspicious of why anyone would deliberately try to run another human being over?
Hands up if you've stood infront of another car with your arms up like that? I haven't...something looks odd about the speed of the video aswell.
Hmm, just got some doubts over the clip and story, that's all. But as said, doesn't in anyway - justify that drivers actions.

He's no sian of course, but there is also a woman stood there talking to them guys in the other car, and she is not being an asshole. But, is anyone actually considering the t

Look at the full video and the cabby throwing the first punch to ask yourself who the aggressor is...

How do you know ?(if you are talking about the girl with the guy who got run over).
Lets not forget the was the aggresor who came abck - maybe poor cabbie was fearing for his own safety and just wanted to get out of there.

ks. Look at the full vid when they all get out of the car, the guy is just trying to walk away, and the cabbie swings at him from behind! When he runs the guy down, he is merely stood in front of the cab having taken photos of it's reg and the driver through the drivers door. He's not been trying to open the door to belt him one, despite having had the driver punch him earlier. The cabbie should be banged up for a very ling time indeed, I cannot believe that you can run over someone like this and carry him up the street on the bonnet before depositing him in the middle of the road, and only get 6 f
king months in prison!! Ridiculous sentencing.Lets hope the turd gets bumraped every day of them. Scum like this should not be on the road or even free to roam with the rest of us.
